Can somebody please go into greater detail as to what Californian's crew actually could have done had they gone to Titanic's position? You could say that the Californian's crew could have taken on board the passengers in the life boats. But then what? The assumption would be the life boats would be rowed back to Titanic's side to load up with more passengers. So the question is: How would that actually get accomplished with the boats already being in the water?
If Californian had gone to Titanic's aid immediately, what could have been done to significantly increase the number of survivors?
